Maris Recruitment RO Group SRL, acting as the local crewing agent for Oldendorff Carriers, is seeking experienced Chief Engineers to join an ASD Towing Tug operating in Indonesia.

The successful candidate must be capable of independently managing the vessel's machinery and technical operations, troubleshooting faults effectively, and maintaining the vessel to a high operational and safety standard.
Strong communication and reporting skills are equally important. The project office must be kept fully informed of the vessel's technical condition, enabling potential issues to be identified early and corrective or preventative action to be taken before they develop into operational problems.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
** Has solid experience as a Chief Engineer on ASD and/or towing tugs
** Is confident working independently with limited shore-side support
** Has strong hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills
** Can identify developing technical problems and take preventative action
** Has excellent technical reporting and communication skills
** Is organized, proactive, and takes full ownership of the vessel's machinery and equipment
** Understands the challenges of working on a remote project with limited access to shore-based service technicians
** Is comfortable maintaining safe and reliable operations over extended periods away from conventional port facilities
** Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment to vessel performance
** Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) in accordance with STCW regulations
** Minimum 5 completed contracts as Chief Engineer on similar vessel types and sizes
** Proven experience with Caterpillar main engines,
