Good Winds Marine Services is recruiting First Cook & Second Cook for RO-RO Pax Vessels
Good Winds Marine Services is currently recruiting qualified and motivated professionals for the following positions onboard a RO-RO PAX vessel.
Requirements:
Valid Seaman's Book;
Valid STCW Certificates;
Valid Passport;
Valid Medical Certificate;
Visa (preferred but not mandatory);
Good command of English (minimum B1 level);
Previous experience in a similar position, preferably onboard ships;
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards;
Italian language skills are highly preferred;
Contract Duration: 3 months +/- 1 month.
Key Responsibilities - First Cook:
Supervising and coordinating all galley operations and kitchen staff;
Planning menus and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation;
Managing food supplies, inventory, and cost control;
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations;
Monitoring food preparation and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities - Second Cook:
Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and company standards;
Ensuring food quality, taste, freshness, and proper presentation;
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the galley and food preparation areas;
Following food safety procedures and proper food storage practices;
Assisting with stock control and minimizing food waste.
