Environmental Officer for passenger vessels - Costa Crociere

GOOD WINDS Marine Services is recruiting Environmental Officer for the well-known Italian owner of passenger vessels, COSTA CROCIERE.

Departure: Summer 2026

Main offered conditions:

- Working contracts, registered in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure full compliance with company environmental policies and GHESS procedures
- Review voyage plans and ship operations for environmental compliance
- Conduct regular inspections across all ship areas, including technical spaces and waste handling zones
- Verify proper waste segregation, handling, sampling, and disposal practices
- Maintain accuracy of environmental logbooks, records, and documentation
- Meet regularly with senior officers to report observations and address concerns
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to crew on environmental compliance and best practices
- Promote sustainability initiatives and a strong environmental culture onboard (including ISO 14001 standards)
- Deliver and track completion of required environmental training
- Support audits, inspections, and development of corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor and follow up on environmental findings and compliance issues
- Prepare monthly environmental reports and assist with incident reporting

Requirements:

- COC III/2 unlimited or Chief Mate License
- Proven experience in technical, organizational, or environmental protection preferably in the marine or shipping industry.
